John Bassett Senior (1886-1958), President and Managing Director of Gazette Printing Company, was a longtime friend and confidant of Lord Beaverbrook. Publisher of the Montreal Gazette, Chancellor of Bishop's University, and distinguished World War 1 veteran, his correspondence covers political affairs in the world and in Canada, the business and problems of the newspaper industry in Canada and the reminiscences of a lasting friendship.
